Location North of the highway to KNJAZEVO (2315 E/I+239 N) in the area lying between the location of an undetermined military headquarters and a block of structures used for officers quarters of the armed forces and exponents of the party. The highway to Knjazevo is called "BOULEVARD 9 September" 4+. Manufactures. and their destination. The product of the factory is destined partly to the armed forces and partly to civilian needs. Furthermore there is a department in this complex which is isolated from the others; military and a few civilian members of the party work in it exclusively, and maximum security is kept on its activity. 50X1-HUM Batteries for tanks of an undetermined model and for national needs. Batteries: During the period May-June 1959 and on each work shift of 6 hours duration; there were constantly produced; 120 batteries for tanks;-- 125-130 batteries for motor vehicles. The battery manufacturing department works 2 six-hour shifts rather than 8 hour shifts for health reasons. 10. Personnel. Known managers: Director: Engineer HRISTOV. Department 10 head (battery manufacturing).- Engineer STOJKOV. Personnel Chief; Engineer STOJANOV. This is the main and more committing activity of the factory. Repairs are made by cannibalizing old OW-Blitz engines which were left over from the war and are salvaged from all over Bulgaria. The productiis intended for the armed forces; no information in this regard. The transportation of finished products and raw materials to and from the military production department is done in military trucks which are canvas covered; they enter the department enclosure under constant guard by sentries and depart without ever exposing to view what they carry. Manufactures and their destination The 6 September complex is made up of two different manufacturing "sectors" which are ajacent but separated by a wall. The motor car has two Ankar motors of 300 volts each (one forward and one at the rear); makes Ankar motors of 300 volts for street cars on a presumed Soviet license, which are used on the national market; overhaul and repair of street cars for all the lines in Sofia, which number eight; regular maintenance of cars serving the lines four and five. Highway and street car connection Highway: connected to Boulevard 9 September which joins the west edge of Sofia with the suburb(of Iffjazevo. Streetcar;. Streetcar No 5 which has spurs to the complex and travels along Boulevard 9 September. The,5iermini of zbhe streetcar line to No 5 are respectively in plaza Santa Domenica in Sofia and in Knjazevo. 5. Active defense The industrial guard guards the complex. 6. Origin of raw materials and known finished products for sec"tors A and B Iron and metal alloys; from the Metalurgiski Zavod Lenin in Dimitrovo (steel mill) ( ex Pernik)/(2303E/4235N). Description Note: The ordinal numbers listed for the various factories and the letters which indicate the various departments of the complex correspond with those of the the attached sketch. Dimensions and disposition of the structures are to be considered approximate.
