1.I spent about an hour with C/LAS on the former's
investigation resulting from criticisms of language training proce-
dures and practices. It is our feelings that we long ago had met
the cited criticisms either by modification of practices and proce-
dures or by proposal to discuss them with our critics. We appreciate
and, in fact, invite construction criticism and will be glad to
receive any additional such of which we are unaware, as well as
positive suggestions for improvement. Regarding contentions that
may be still unresolved, I wish to reiterate my written proposal of
over a month ago to the DDTR that we sit down face-to-face with our
accusers to resolve several basic problems of understanding of which
the several incidents are symptomatic, rather than deal in an incident-
