For the manufacture of type. T-2 television receivers some saeples
of these sets and the pertinent construction drawings have been
made available to the plant by the Russians, The plant was ordered
to manufacture 40,000 copies of thin net. The first grcup of 200
such sets were shipped to Ioscow in early June 19514 A, total of
about 11000 sets wore- completed by early August. Assentelyelerk. ore
theeets was per on two production lines, oneach of which
eeeet 50 wemen working in two 9-hour Shifts were assiemed4 The
balancing of the seta is being done on four production lines on 0=11
which 10 men Averkine three 3-hour shifts are eon-toed,. Since 8
October 1951 work in the tenting department has been done in two
Shifts only because or a shortage of radio tubes. The sate: are
accepted by two Soviet civilian engineers. A list of technical
specifications 'which Is sent along with the T-2 televieion receivers
was obtained. (2)
b.. Type RPS radio decimeter stations are mobile stations operating
decimetric waves. The instruments required are installed in ntude
baker trucks. Decimeter stations manufactured at the _plant by early
August 1951 included 26 type RDS 1, 10 type nnszA, 4 by early August
1951 included 26 tepe 10 type RDSLA, 4 type US 2, 4. type RDS 3
and 8 type RDS 4 stations. geereX. made, a coeeilation of deaimetrio
wave sets, carrier frequency telephone sets, teleprinters and current
generators, with which the various type RDS radio decimeter stations
are equipped. (3) In 1949 and 1950- type RDS 1, 2, 3, and 4 sets were: -
manufactured. In. early 1951 type RDS I was replaced by tepe RDS
which again was replaced by type 1B in October 1951. BetmoneDecomber
1950 and lull 1951, Soviet Ay units turned in type RI e 1 stations
for conversion. The type 902 A directional receivers were adjusted
to typo 902 C receivers. The receivers converted in this way were
given the type designation of TU7S 902 D.
c. Type RTI 902 directional receivers were delivered with a horn radiator
for stationary installationne Since this horn radiator due to its
bulk and its weieht, is not suited for eobile RDS stations, these
otstimno are eK;ui2-7ed witr. two beam antennas, which are carried in the.
interior of the truck during movement. (11) In 1950, fear or six
mobile telescopic masts were free the Sachsenwerk in: radebere
by the Rusnians. Pe.= antennae were to be mounted on the tops of

set was interrupted because, the HF Telecommunications- Jnineerjng Plant-
in Berlin was unable to deliver the crystals required.

Radeberg was a Soviet Colonel Fomin (fnu). about 35 years old. Fomin
speaks German fluently. On, 5 September. the Sachsenwerk WAO visited
by Otrieshev (fnu). .the new msrtging director of the Soviet Cable cerpo-
ration. Ctelplheorpreviously was manaeer of the Soviet corporation
plant AEG in Treptue. Cn 22 June 1951. Dyakanov (free). the Soviet
chief designer was ordered to report to oscow, alleeedly because
the, delivered television receivers did not function satisfactorily with
