Godfrey noted the William White article in the Washington Post this
morning based upon certain articles in the Marxist Review by Dominican
Communists. Godfrey pointed out that we had analyzed these articles,
and while in some instances they do support administration explanations
of intervention in the DR, they nevertheless contain information which
undercuts these explanations also..
for DD/S&T noted that DD/S&T was absent because of ar-
rangements he had made for detailed discussions with TSD today looking
to future working arrangements between DD/S&T and TSD.
oted that weather has prevented a TACKLE operation in
the Far East. The most imminent possibility, though uncertain, is= 25X1

reported that he has arranged for D/NRO to schedule an
NRO Executive Committee Meeting on or about 11 April after Secretary
Vance's return from Vietnam to consider recent D/NRO decisions on
NRP matters.
DD/S reported that the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors yesterday
disapproved construction of high-rise apartments on the nearby Travers
tract. We will proceed with efforts to purchase this property. It is ex-
pected to cost somewhere between $160, 000 and $170, 000.

DDCI reported briefly on an interesting and useful luncheon with
Senator Symington yesterday.
DDCI noted the need to meet sometime in the next day or two with
the DCI, DD/P, and C/WH to discuss the Dominican Republic outlook
and our programs there.
DCI discussed briefly his visit to the TSD conference at
yesterday. Developments in audio capabilities are such as to have
caused the DCI to be concerned about the adequacy of security in
Government offices. He said he wants to meet with DD/S to discuss
this.
DCI noted the importance of O/PPB in relating DD/S&T and TSD
research programs so as to develop an over-all Agency view and to
aid in building relationships between DD/S&T and TSD.
