KOTOVSK SSM LAUNCH FACILITY TRAINING, USSR
1. SIGNIFICANCE: TRAINING HAS BEEN EXPANDED TO INCLUDE ICBM
CREWS. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: THIS FACILITY HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH SS-4/5 GROUND
SUPPORT EQUIPMENT (GSE) TRAINING AND NOW INCLUDES ICBM-RELATED
TRAINING. TWO CANISTER/CAPSULE TRANSPORTERS AND TWO MULTI-
SYSTEM PROPELLANT TRANSPORTERS ARE IN THE AREA OF THE TRAINING
LAUNCH PAD. SS-4/5 EQUIPMENT IS ALSO PRESENT INDICATING THAT
THE FACILITY WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT TRAINING FOR MR/IRBM
CREWS. THE NEAREST ICBM FACILITY IS PERVOMAYSK SSM COMPLEX
60 NM EAST OF KOTOVSK. (SWN)
