1. SIGNIFICANCE: AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE HAS BEEN TESTED AT FACILITY
B, SARY-SHAGAN R&D COMPLEX SINCE (SWN) 25X1
2. REMARKS: A LARGE BLAST MARK IS ON THE WEST TEST' PAD. THE FOUR
CANVAS-COVERED SHELTERS ARE AT THE REAR OF THE TEST PAD, AND
THE MOBILE CRANE AND THE DEVICE TRANSPORTER ARE AT THE APEX
BUILDING. PREPARATIONS FOR AN EXPLOSIVE TEST WERE IN PROGRESS
ON THE FOUR CANVAS-COVERED SHELTERS WERE ALIGNED OVER 25X1
THE AREA OF THE BLAST MARK, AND FOUR SUPPORT VEHICLES WERE
NEARBY. THE MOBILE CRANE AND A BUS WERE PARKED NEXT TO THE
APEX BUILDING. THE SOVIETS HAVE CONDUCTED THREE EXPLOSIVE
DEVICE TESTS THIS YEAR; THE LAST TEST WAS CONDUCTED ON THE NEW
WEST TEST PAD AT FACILITY B ON (SWN) 25X1
