SIGNIFICANCE: HIND D HELICOPTERS WERE IDENTIFIED FOR THE
FIRST TIME AT KHALKHALA AIRFIELD.
MISSING FROM MEZZE AIRFIELD SINCE EARLY AUGUST.
i, IMMEDIATELY SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF
DAMASCUS, TO KHALKHALA AIRFIELD, 28 NM SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF
MEZZE. THESE HELICOPTERS WERE PRESENT ON ON THE NEW
HELICOPTER LANDING PADS WHICH HAVE BEEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION
SINCE APRIL. ELEMENTS OF ONE HIND D SQUADRON HAVE BEEN
AIRFIELD
REMARKS: ELEMENTS OF ONE HELICOPTER SQUADRON, CONSISTING OF
TEN HIND D HELICOPTERS HAVE PROBABLY MOVED FROM MEZZE
