1. SIGNIFICANCE: NAVAL VESSEL DISPERSAL IS CONTINUING. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: DISPERSAL OF TWO POLNOCNY MEDIUM AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT
LANDING SHIPS (LSM) IS OBSERVED AT MARIEL PORT FACILITIES. ONE
POLNOCNY LSM IS NESTED ON THE PORT SIDE OF A CUBAN
EL JIGUE-CLASS MERSHIP. THE OTHER LSM IS NESTED ON THE PORT
SIDE OF AN UNIDENTIFIED BULK CARRIER. THE MERSHIPS WITH THE
NESTED LSM ARE IN THE PORT FACIL Y ROADSTEAD JUST SOUTH OF
MARIEL NAVAL BASE NO ADDITIONAL NAVAL
ORDER-OF-BATTLE (NOB) IS OBSERVED AT THE PORT FACILITIES. THE
NAVAL BASE IS CLOUD COVERED. TWO POLNOCNY
LSM AND THREE YEVGENYA INSHORE MINESWEEPERS (MSI) WERE NOT
DISCERNIBLE AT THEIR NORMAL BERTHING POSITIONS AT THE NAVAL
BASE. (SWN)
IN THE CIENFUEGOS AREA, NOB APPEARS TO BE ESSENTIALLY UNCHANGED
THE NAVAL COMBATANTS REMAIN DISPERSED
THROUGHOUT THE PORT. TWO SO-1 SUBMARINE CHASERS (PCS) ARE
STILL AT THE TRANSSHIPMENT MOLE. ONE KOMAR MISSILE ATTACK BOAT
(PTG) IS STILL DISCERNIBLE IN THE CLOUD-FREE AREAS AT
CIENFUEGOS NAVAL BASE AT CIENFUEGOS PORT
FACILITIES NW OSA PTG, ONE KOMAR PTG, AND
AT LEAST TWO ADDITIONAL POSSIBLE PTG REMAIN AT THE QUAY. (SWN)
AT LA HABANA PORT FACILITIES ONE OSA PTG IS
DISPERSED TO THE EASTERN END ur, THE POFF AT REPORTING POSITION
26. ONE VIETNAM HEROICO-CLASS PASSENGER/CARGO SHIP IS STILL
PRESENT. AT LA HABANA SHIPYARD CUBAN NAVAL
ONE KONI FRIGATE, THREE OSA PTG, TWO TURYA TORPEDO BOAT
(HYDROFOIL) (PTH), TWO SO-1 PCS, AND ONE PELYM DEPERMING SHIP
ARE OBSERVED. (SWN)
