MODIFIED CANDID B AT
TASHKENT AIRFRAME PLANT B CHKALOV 84, USSR (TSR)
1. (TSR) On~ a modified CANDID B aircraft.
=was observed on an aircraft assembly apron adjacent to the western assembly building at
Tashkent Airframe Plant B Chkalov 84 ( USSR (Figure I). The modifications
consisted of a cylindrical aft fuselage extension, long and in diameter, and
two large blisters, one on each side of the fuselage just forward of and below the flight deck area.
The imagery provided the first sighting of a CANDID with both modifications.
(TSR) The CANDID B with

3. (TSR) The first observed modification to this aircraft was seen on
