(S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: INDICATIONS OF A POSSIBLE CALL-UP OF RESERVIST IS OBSERVED NORTH OF BAGHDAD BARRACKS NORTHWEST. 2. (S/D) REMARKS: THREE TENT ENCAMPMENTS CONTAINING A TOTAL OF AT LEAST 70 TENTS ARE IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF THE BARRACKS. NUMEROUS PERSONNEL, SEDANS, AND CIVILIAN CARGO TRUCKS ARE WITHIN ALL THREE ENCAMPMENTS. IN ADDITION, A LARGE NUMBER OF SEDANS AND CIVILIAN CARGO TRUCKS IS ON THE MAIN HIGHWAY NEXT TO THE BARRACKS. IN LIGHT OF THE RECENT IRAQI WAR LOSSES IN THE SUSANGERD AREA OF IRAN, THIS ACTIVITY MAY BE RELATED TO A CALL-UP OF RESERVIST. THE ENCAMPMENTS ARE 6.6 NM NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF BAGHDAD ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE BAGHDAD-SMARRA ROAD. 3.I COORDINATES :33-24-25N 044-18-25E COMMENTS AND QUERIES REGARDING THIS BRIEFING BOARD MAY BE DIRECTED TO THE NPIC/PEG OPERATIONS OFFICER.
