IMAGERY INFORMATION REPORT
CHIN-CHENG PROBABLE AIRCRAFT ENGINE
TEST FACILITY, CHINA (S)
(S/WNINTEL) A probable aircraft engine test facility (Figure 1) was
identified 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Chin-cheng, Shansi Province,
China, This facility was previously
designated Chin-cheng Fabrication Industry
(S/WNINTEL) In the engine test area, four probable aircraft engine
test cells (Figure 2) were in various stages of early construction in a
ravine approximately 500 meters northwest of the engineering/shop area.
(S/WNINTEL) An engine preparation/test cell section was under con-
struction at two cells. These sections, approximately 30 by 8 by 9 meters,
will probably be identical. The vertical exhaust ports were in various
construction phases and were partially enclosed by building staging.
(S/WNINTEL) The engineering/shop area contained six modern, light
fabrication/shop buildings and two probable engineering/test preparation
buildings. The housing/support area at the facility contained multistory,
apartment-type buildings.
