REORGANIZATION OF FIRMS UNDER THE MAIN ADMINISTRATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
(22 pp; German; January/February 1951)
This report consists of two photostated documents pertaining to the East
German building and construction industry.
The first document, covering 19 pages, is a complete list of all VVB
(Federation of People-Owned Enterprise) and VEB (People-Owned Enterprise
construction firms under the supervision of the NNain Administration for the
Construction Industry. as of 26 January 1951. Compiled by the Planning
Division of the Main Administration for the Construction Industry, Ministry of
Heavy Industry, in Berlin, the list supplies the following information:
1) new designation and address of the VVB (or main VEB firm); 2) auxiliary
enterprises (branch offices) belonging to the main firm listed under (1);
3) main products or type of construction work performed; L) names of former
construction firms (VVB or VEB) which were combined to form the present
enterprise; 5) last industrial code number of firm; and 6) names of building
cooperatives and V,TVB and VEB firms which formerly administered the construction
firms listed under (4).
The second document, dated 5 February 1951 and covering 3 pages, was
drawn up by the Main Administration for the Construction Industry in Berlin.
It consists of a list in two sections: a) The names, addresses, telephone
numbers, and names of the managing directors of three new VVB construction
firms established as of 1 January 1951. b) The names, addresses, telephone
numbers, and managing directors of seventeen VEB building cooperatives which,
as of 31 January 1951, were placed directly under the supervision of the
Main Administration for the Construction Industry. This list will be kept
current by the issuance of supplements, and changes in address and firm
management will be indicated.
