A very sketchy briefing was received on the traixai~xg given in Vietnam. It mainly consisted of on.th~job training with Army helicopters. The program is divided into two phases: Phase 1 -consists of 50 hours of transition flying to convert H34 pilots to fly HUIS. Phase IZ -Consisted pf assimilating Vietnamese pilots .straight from 210 hours pf training from, CONUS and having them fly with Army pilots until they become proficiexit. ______Meeting at l$30 with SGEN ~. H. WATKINS, USAF, Chief of Air Force Advisory Group, to get a better briefing an this subject. ARMY review completed. ON-FILE NSC RELEASE INSTRUCTIONS APPLY USAF review completed.
