Kissinger I pursued the matter of a private contact for the White House, a point which you had raised with the Prime Minister at Karuizawa and which you urged me to pursue at Hawaii. 2. He again replied that he would like to have me make the private contact with him whenever necessary and he will do the same through me if he wishes to send a private message to .the White House. .3. If the contact is not quite so sensitive, he says that contact can be made through his private secretary, Konaga. He reiterated the fact that he has no other private contact that he would like to use for messages between the White House and himself. 4. If you have any other suggestions on this subject, I should be glad to pursue them.
