Government on November 8 confirmed premature press stories that with almost all Congressionally approved U. Government wants the Chinese Government to understand the reasons why this step has been taken. With the pipeline of military items reduced to $3 million and with the certainty that the U. S. Congress would not authorize any more funds, it was decided, with the concurrence of the Pakistan Government, not to complete the remaining shipments. This was done, in full consultation with the Pakistan Government, to enable the U. S. Government to make a maximum effort to continue the substantial econnmir. ascista?rr f..
