1. In early Decembet 1951 Shanghai's field army hospital ordered 10,000 hospital
beds for he military from Shanghai furniture stores. As of 15 December most
of the orosr had been filled.
2. In mid-December one regiment of the 63 Division was at P'ingyang (120-33,
:7-142) and another regiment was at Juian (120-38, 27-49).
3. On 28 December large numbers of troops of the 62 Division were sent to an
area east of :taimen (121-35, 28-43).
14. On 28 December 15 Army headquarters ordered troops in the Loching (120-57,
28-08) and 17enling (121-21, 28-23) areas to increase vigilance.1'
On 29 December, 9 armed motor junks were. assembled in Sanmenwan (121- ,
29- ), awaiting orders,
6. In mid-D'oember guns of the 12 Artillery Regiment, 3 Field A , were in the
following areas of Foochow: 14 guns at Ts'angch'ienshan ( el ) 14 guns

outside the north gate, 2 guns in the south park, 14 guns at Chihsiang ~
14 suns at Ya 'oushan (4. jffi A), 2 guns at Huangoh'i (10 ), 2 guns at
Hsiaoao (a, ), and 14 guns at Meihua (, ,).
