1. remission is requested to attend the American Psychological
Association national meeting in Hew York City from 3 to 8 September.
This period covers three non-working days so that only three working
days will be involved. .
2. Many of the sessions will be on subjects of interest in the
ARTICHOKE field; for example, the following subjects will be dis-
cussed: "Fents1 Illness"; "Cultural Discontinuity and Personality
Transformation"; several sessions on reccticne to stress; "Effects
of Drugs on behavior"; "fhe Problem of Sustained Vigilance"; "The
Effect of Electra-Convulsive Shock and Conditioned 1:motional Re-
sponses"; and "Quantitative Effects of Sleep Deprivation".
