SAUL and LANE, according to source, recently attended a lyeeting of G�RISON's investigators at the Center for the Study of ...,....D&PCrOtic_Institutions, Santa Barbara, California. Source said'that- Gerald Patr4,12:EZfiaNG;:.!_vho is not publicly known to be a membr of GARRISON s itIvestigdZing team, was also present at the meeting. HEMMING ---�was described as a "professional snitch;'which was explained to be a paid informant . HEMMING reportedly was known as Captain Patrick when he was participating in the training of anti-Castro guerillas in Florida. EEi.!MING allegedly was with CASTRO in Cuba for an unknown period of time. HENNING was also described as a close associate of Lloyd PULLEN who is a local leader of an organization called "Staff", which is the front- nanie for the Minute Men. 7. A Confidential Informant at the Beverly Hills Police Department advised that his department had, no information on SAUL but the informant had heard that SAUL and Joey BISHOP. were close friends. 8. The above-mentioned inforp.ant-at-thrSheriff's-Office ndvif:o(1 that the January 1967 issue of tA,Los,Angeles Free Press contained an interview with Mort SAUL. The article repOite:aly-coata-irred comment by .SAUL about how the CHRISTIANS IN ACTION group were responsible for the KENNEDY assassination. The article was not immediately available for review. If it is obtained from source, it will be forwarded to Head- quarters. The same source said that a clipping from the Los Angeles Times, dated 29 March 1958, reflected that SAUL obtained a divorce from his wife, k76 -2- Chi 7.1.. 6.
