2, The barracks in Sliven are all located on the east side of the town, except
for the tank .regiment0s barracks which are in the Kaa.lin Korn district, about
three to four kilometers east of Siiven. Under a big hill, near Kahn Koru,
there is a tunnel used for storing, military equipment of all types and fuel
oil, There are several other depots of ammunition and oil in this vicinity
near the Sliven?-Burgas highway,
3. There is a, military airfield eight to nine kilometers east of Sliven, near
the village of I3irshin.
There are no Soviet soldiers in Sl.iven. In April or May of 1950 a Soviet
general visited the town, and in March 1951 three other Russian generals
made a visit. -does not know their mission.
In early April seven to eight cars in the :liven railroad
