1. On 7 June 13 Chinese Cor unist Junks were discovered northwest of Chinmeaa
Island and fired upon by Rationalist naval gunboat Number 113. Five of these
junks wore captured, each with three crow members, two of whom were killed
by the shelling. Some of the remaining junk. were sunk and the rest
escaped. A Chinese Ccmmnanist 400-ton gunboat engaged in battle vrlth a
Rationalist naval vessel in the area wort of Sanp'an (121-10, 27-52)
Island. After receiving slight domago the Chinese Communist vessel withdraw
towards fuengtaao (121-06, 27-59).

caramaudeerod in this area by the Chinese Communist authorities',
