l The first class of the Pisci oulturel lns u ., Constants,, graduated in
February 1951. For admittance to the school., students - ere divided into
the following categoriest
a. Category I., for sons of workers, required a minimum mark of
five on the entrance examinations.
bps Category II$ for sons of professional workers and craftsmen,
required a minimum mark of six on the entrance exeami.nation;s-
co Category 1119 for sons of farmers and industrialists, required
a mirdmum, mark of seven on the entrance examinations.
In practice, only applicants falling in the first two categories were
cable to enter the Instituter,
2 Professors were required to (.ive?passing marks to those students
selectee by the Communist Party to attend the courses. The professors who
failed to follow the orders were accused of "cosmopolitanism" o, Usually
only two or 'three percent of the students fed-led tc, receive passing
marks and those usually had "unhealthy social. origins".
