MEMORANDUM FOR: Assistant Deputy Director for Support
SUBJECT Program Wide and Communications Formal
Hearing Schedule
1. Attached is the formal O/PPB hearing schedule on the
Program Wide and Communications categories for the Support
Directorate. Unless you receive subsequent notice to the contrary,
all hearings will be conducted in the PPB "tank", room 6E0708.
2. Pursuant to our earlier discussions and agreements, it is
anticipated that, with the exception of the Office of Communications,
the hearings can be completed with each DDS Office on the dates
indicated. In the case of Comoro, it is PPB's decision that they
participate in hearings to be scheduled on Collection and Research,
Development and Engineering. Therefore, the hearing on 19 April
will speak only to that portion of their program submitted under
the category Communications.
3. Questions to be used as the basis for the hearings will be
submitted to each DDS Office Head through your own Office well in
advance of the scheduled hearing. Except in those instances where
we will be asking for the submission of copies of reports or
studies referenced in the Office Program Submissions, we do not
desire written replies to our questions.
4. As the next several weeks will see PPB and, for that matter,
the Agency heavily involved in spring program hearings, it is
requested that the attached plan be adhered to wherever possible
to preclude scheduling conflicts.
