Dear Nr. Patterson:
Is. response to a letter from Mr. William J. Powell, President,
FederaJ. Government Accountants Association of Washington, request-
ing that we identify employees of our Agency who are members of
the FGM of Washington and who have retired within the past year
or who are approaching retirement, we wish to submit the name of
Mr. Ifor a testimonial certificate. Mr.
retired in December 1966.
We apPreciate the opportunity to nominate our employees for
testimonial certificates and shAll be pleased to inform you when
FGAA members plan to retire from this Agency. At the present time
we do not have any FGM members employed by this Agency who are
contr-molating retirement within the near future.

Attached is the letter dated 15 February 1968 from
the Federal Government Accountmes Association of Washington asking us
to advise the Association of employees of the Agency who are members of
their arganiz,ation and who have retired within the past year or who are
approaching retirement. The Association wishes to present such members
with a testimonial certificate. The letter doe i not seem to call for a reply *
unless we have nominees for the certificate.
As we discussed over the telephone, a retiring
member of the Association who is under ccver might create a problem.
I have advised Mr. Bannerman that you are
attempting to obtain a list of all Agency officers who are members of the
Association and will flag their records for this consideration when they
retire.
