Analysis of KEYHOLE
reveals active railroad construction in the area of
Cheng-to 30-Il-ON 101-OI+E) and Kun-ming (25-OI+N 102-41E).
The northern segment of rail line from Cheng-tu southward to
29-28N 103-31E, a distance of approximately 130 nautical miles (nm),
is now operative. This distance represents an 85-nm extension of
operable rail line (previously observed under construction) in the past
12 months. There is continuing active construction beyond this segment
from the end of operative track south and southwestward to 29-11N 102-51E,
a distance of approximately 63 nm.
The southern segment of the rail line extends from Lu-chia-wan
(25-27N 103-15E), where it joins with the completed western portion
of the Kuei-yang/Kun-ming rail line, northward to T'ung-ch'ang-ching
(26-02N 103-12E), a distance of approximately 13 nm.
As the gap between the northern and southern segments of railroad
construction is still quite large (approximately 180 nm), it is
impossible to predict whether they will be connected. (TOP SECRET RUFF)
25X1D A continuous scan reveals a

vehicle sheds, and 2 support buildings.
25X1D This is the third new radar site identified on The
2 other sites are located on the east coast of the island at 19-39N
110-59E, 2 nm east of Nan-li, and 18-26N llO-OI-B 6 nm southeast of
