1. (C) Last night, 9 May 95, I received a call from

a former member of this Activity, who advised that he was called by
a Janet Klein, ABC News "20/20", who was doing background research
for "20/20" with regard to Army sponsorship of our mission area.SG1J

a former member of this Activity,

a former member of this Activity. Accor ing o
she tried to ask questions every which way in order to elicit a SG1J
response. Janet advised that she had heard that ~ did
readings on the side and t a she would call her for a rea ing. It SG1 J
should be noted that provided no phone numbers. ~did
provide her with info on is company and stated that coor~iriate
remote ing (CRV) was the basis for his activities and nothing SG1J
mare. asked her if she had spoken to a former member
of this Ac ivity and a retired US Army officer, and she stated that
she had not because she was looking to sp others who could
provide more accurate information. I~ was opinion that JanetSG1J
Klein was doing background research for an expose. Janet also
offered a tidbit of info that she had obtained data to show that
Army personnel demonstrated their capability in Congress and at the
White House. She also passed on that last month in Washington
State, a U. S .' Senator, of i, had on TV stated that he had funded the
Army program.
