U S S R BELORUSSIAN MILITARY DISTRICT R:. c'cc5le R 30' TOP SECRET CHESS RUFF TOP SECRET CHESS RUFF 25X1 D 25X1 D The Slutsk Ordnance Depot, possibly se- cured, is located approximately 4 kilometers (km) northeast of the center of Slutsk"53-01 \ 027-33E). The installation is served by second- arv roads from Slutsk but is not rail served (Figure 1). Slutsk Army Barracks South (AL-51 is located 6 km south and Slutsk Army Bar- racks Central (AL-3) is 4 km south. The installation (Figures 2 and 3) covers approximately 180 acres and contains three administration buildings, six barracks, four storage buildings, five vehicle storage main- tenance buildings, 24 support buildings, and a probable water tower. A secured ammunition storage area with four unrevetted buildings and a small arms firing range are located immedi- ately- east of the installation. The area was covered by -TALENT photograph%- and _ KEYHOLE missi tween level of usage between with reduced usage during the winter months. Significant changes since (qD elude the addition of four large vehicle stony maintenance buildings, five support buz? one storage building, and one barracks. An irregular, closed circuit driver training course identified on the TALE\T coverage is not present on photograph}. 25X1 D 25X1 D The installation is not rail served, but the Slutsk rail yard is 5 km southwest. Road Service Secondary roads provide access to Slutsk. Ammunition Storage Area Area F. secured and located approximately 3,000 feet from the center of the installation, contains four unrevetted 70- by 40-foot ammu- nition storage buildings. 'I en support buildings are scattered throughout the installation. One of the support buildings with a new road leading to it was first observed at the east edge of the installa- tion on coverage. A probable water tower is locate~5XjUUhre center of the installation. Area J contains four 230- by 50-foot stor- age maintenance buildings, one ISO- by 70-foot maintenance building., two storage buildings, four support buildings, and two possible mot or parks, 250 by 160 feet and 200 by 80 feet. One support and four storage maintenance buildings were first observed on coverage.
