USSR BELORUSSIAN MD Declass Review by NIMA/DOD 25X1 NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION CENTER TOP SECRET 25X1 This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and logistic installations being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being coordinated, published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group, the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production Center iPic (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re- port was performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group. In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those appearing in the project requirement. When a specific facility is not observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report. Titles and letter designators for the various facilities are as follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road service, (C) landing strips, (D) administrative and troop housing areas, (E) storage areas, (F) am- munition storage areas, (G) POL storage areas, (H) other buildings and facilities, (J) equipment storage/maintenance areas, (K) athletic fields, (L) small arms firing ranges, (M) driver training areas, (N) tank/ assault gun firing ranges, (P) flat trajectory firing ranges, (Q) artillery emplacements (batteries), (R) infantry or combined arms field train- ing area or courses, (S) special training facilities, (T) unidentified facilities or tracking activity. TOP SECRET I I 25X1 TOP -SECRET NPIC/R-448/64 (53-13N 026-41E) 25X1 NESVIZH MINSKAYA, USSR 0 l =~ BARRACKS AREA 25X1 26?30' TOP SECRET 25X1 TOP SECRET A probable military barracks area is located in Nesvizh and connected with the small Nesvizh Training Area (TA-1) by secondary roads (Figure 1). The installation is not rail served. Secondary roads provide access to Nesvizh. The probable barracks area is possibly secured, covers approximately 14 acres, and contains two administration buildings, one bar- racks, one storage building, three vehicle storage /maintenance buildings, and four support buildings (Figures 2 and 3). The training area consists of two small arms firing ranges and two driver training courses. The firing ranges are 4 kilometers (km) southeast of town and cover approximately 90 acres. The driver training area consisting of one irregular, closed-circuit course and one DESCRIPTION OF INSTALLATION 25X1 Road Service Secondary roads connect the barracks area to the main training area and to Nesvizh.
