This report is one in a series on Soviet Ground Force and Logistic
installations( being prepared for a DIA/CIA Panel. The series is being
coordinated, -published and disseminated by NPIC. The photographic
analysis is being performed by the NPIC Photographic Analysis Group,
the CIA Photographic Intelligence Division (NPIC), and the Production
Center 1Pic (DIA). The photographic analysis for this particular re-
port was performed by the CIA Photographic Intel)gence Division.
- In the interest of uniformity, the titles and letter designators for
the facilities observed at these installations are identical with those
appearing in- the project requirement. When a specific facility is not
observed both its title and letter designator are omitted in the report.
Titles and letter designators for the arious facilities are as
follows: (A) railroad service, (B) road se vice, ( ) landing strips,

. Krasnoyarsk Army Barracks North is lo-
cated in the northeast section of Krasnoyarsk
and is adjacent to the Krasnoyarsk Airfield
(Figure 1). The installation is not rail served,
but is served by the principal streets and roads
of Krasnoyarsk.
A detailed analysis of the installation (Fig-
ures 2 and 3) reveals that the facility may func-
tion as two separate units. The southern por-
tion appears to be an airfield administration/
support complex while the northern portion ap-
pears to be a military school or military
support area.

The entire facility encompasses 450 acres
and consists of 295 buildings, including 63 ad-
ministrative buildings/barracks, 125 support
buildings, and 106 general storage buildings.
The installation appears to be secured with a
single fence.

The installation is adjacent to Krasno-
yarsk Airfield.
Administrative and Troop Housing Areas
Area D1 (Figure 1) contains 37 administra-
tive buildings /barracks and 36 support buildings.
Area D2 contains 26 administrative build-
ings/barracks and 22 support- buildings. This
is probably an administrative and barracks
area for the airfield.
General Storage Areas
Area El contains 68 general storage build-
ings and 31 support buildings.
Area E2 contains 20 general storage build-
ings and seven support buildings.

Areas Kl and K2 are rectangular troop
assembly and/or athletic areas.
Small-Arms Firing Rang.s
There are five small-arms firing ranges,
with the follows dimensions: Li, 600 by 60
feet, L2 and LL3. 300 by 45 feet, L4 and L5, 90
by 45 feet.
