There is still a room temperature gradient in excess of the design tolerance specified for the Stereocomparator, however at the present time this is not delaying the Dinstallation effort. The deleterious effects of the past cycles of excess temperature and humidity are being corrected as critical situations arise. The corrosion on the exterior surface of the Stereocomparator has been cleaned off and it is hoped that the treatment used will ,arrest further corrosion for a reasonable length of time. The effects of dried condensate have been cleaned from the accessible surfaces of the optical system and the optical system has been realigned. Some difficulty is being experienced byuwith intermittent logic system failures resulting from the past high temperature and humidity conditions in the electronic cabinets. The full extent of this problem can only be assessed in retrospect after all the problems have become apparent and have been corrected. In reviewing the situation at t e end of the month, the level of lost time attributable toe, this cause is markedly reduced over earlier periods, however some lost time is still being logged and continuing effects from the high humidity can be expected.
