Approved Fes, e'lease 200 E~B~ A-RDP78B054 A000100010177-3 NPIC/TSSG/RED-1930-69 18 November 1969 SUBJECT: High Precision Stereo Comparator Program (Project 11038) I the General Manager of 25X1 1. telephoned the technical monitor on 17 November 1969 and passed on e following information. 2. on 13 and 14 November in regard to latest request to postpone the acceptance tests on the correlation sys em until 19 December 1969. 3. A thorough design review was accomplished during the visit and thepeople put the correlator through a series of exercises. 4. The correlator worked beyond expectations on most test imagery but some difficulty was encountered in deserts, orchards, and other limited areas. 5. suggested that the specifications be relaxed and recom- mended an acceptance test plan be adopted to refletthis change in specifications. 0 rejected this proposal. 6. I Istated that they have reached a plateau in the development of the correlator and that any further refinement would be more expen- sive than = cared to incur on this fixed price contract. I uinformed that the required improvements will have to be financed by 7.
