PAR 213, Color Reproduction System Review
1. Charts were used in reviewing PAR progress. The following
items were discussed.,
a. Selective attenuation at high altitude due to atmosphere.
c. Special color film contrast requirements to adjust for
non-uniform attenuation.
d. Color curve typical for an available film,
e. Relationship of film choice to scene brightness, contrast
and density ranges observable from high altitude.
f. Stereo combinations of color pairs and color and black-
and-white pairs.
g. Enlargement systems.
h.. Summary of duplicating and enlarging systems tested.
2. looked at demonstration duplicates from mission
originals. These duplicates were back-up material on topics lf, lg and
lh above...
3, has agreed to confirm the currently understood aim
for best quality in the duplicate data reduction copy rather than optimum
quality in originals.
ACTION ITEMS
4. The customer will confirm that the intent of this project
is to achieve maximum quality in the duplicate data reduction copies, not
in the original.
