Hung-cheng-tzu Army Barracks AL 1 (Lan-chou MR), China
Hung-cheng-tzu Army Barracks AL 1 is approximately 34
nautical miles northwest of Lan-chou near the northwest
edge of Hung-cheng-tzu, in Kansu Province.
The
installation contains a billeting/administrative area
(Aa)
and
an athletic training area (Ea). With the excep-
tion
of
the relocation of the athletic training area (Ea)
and
the
addition of several minor buildings, the installa-
tion
has
remained essentially unchanged since base cover-

Photographic coverage from 1962 through 1971 revealed no
vehicles or equipment at the installation. It was not
possible to determine whether the installation is occupied
by a military unit or is serving some other function.
