SUBJECT Soviet "J" Class Submarine Scale Drawing
REFERENCE Requirement No. C-SI-80,615 (Project No. C 1334-63)
1. In response to Requirement No. C-SI-80,615 (C 1334-63), a preliminary
photographic analysis was performed on 42 black and white photographs in
order to determine the principal dimensions of the new Soviet "J" Class
submarine.
A scale drawing of the Soviet "J" Class submarine is hereby forwarded
as an enclosure to this memorandum. Wherever possible all major visible
components of this submarine have been labelled with the menLura-- data
obtained from this study-
j. The canvas covered object located in the forward portion of the
sail cannot be identified at this time. It should be noted, however, that
the after portion of this object does appear to have a horizontal cut
paraboloid shape across its horizontal axis) facing
toward the bridge. Other dimensions for this canvas covered object are

). The mensural analysis on this study was performed by
CIA/TID/TAB (NPIC). The finished scale drawing was produced by
CIA/PD/GAB (NPIC). The photo analysis and cr'urdination on this project was
