MANAGffi-0 NT TRAINING returned Monday after completing a two-week training program entitled Management Roles, Games, and Slation, conducted by the University of Wisconsin at MilwaL ee. b. All but two critiques have been received from participants in the Government Executive and Management Science Seminar. The final report wi3.l be prepared without waiting for the last two critiques, one of which cannot be submitted until after 19 October because the officer concerned is on TDY. c. In the most recent meeting (24 September 1970) of the Federal Organizational Development (OD) Network, the principal speaker was the head of the National Park Service, Fred Hartzog. The Park Service seems to have advanced further along the Organizational Development route than any other Government Agency, and the Park Service feels the results have been very beneficial. It was clear from the presentation that while Hartzog feels the final judgment on the success of OD in his Service is yet to come, he has no regrets on having chosen to use the OD strategy to effect erial i ch e. The Agency was represented by and 25X1A9a (OP). Arrangements have been co leted to use the Agency Auditorium for the talk by on Friday, 2 October. All Agency employees are we come to attend on a space available basis. Following the formal presentation, the Midcareerists and will adjourn to 1A-13 for a more private ques on and answer session. SD8 PS Problem Solving Group #6 (Subject: Retirement) completed its work on Friday, 25 September. The written report has been submitted to the O/DDS, but the specific time for the verbal presentation has not yet been fixed. r 4+. Managerial Grid Prework for the Course beginning on 18 October was sent to 411 registrants. 5- AMP Four "internal" CT's will be admitted to the course beginning on 1] October. The ADP for which they had been scheduled was cancelled, and DC/SUS-MT and DC/SUS-AT agreed that it would be useful for these men to have the AMP experience at this time despite the technicality of their being at less than minimum GS-level for the course. B. ADMINISTRATIVE TRAINING 1. The Office of Logistics seminar held on 1 and 2 October was attended by who wore his senior Logistics Officers hat, and who was invited to comment on two training films scheduled during the seminar. 25X1A6a 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A9a 2. conferred on separate occasions with the C - efs of Support for 'WS and NE on matters of mutual interest pertaining to the FF&L Course. 3.
