Dear Dan,
Reference is made to your letter to Sid, file number 24628,
dated 21 February 1958 and our letter to you, file number 1783,
dated 6 March 1958 in regards to the items which we originally
deleted from R&W proposal for support items lists Y-A, Y-B, Y-C,
Y-F and Y.
The purpose of this letter is to request that R&W be given
a contractual coverage for all items in the quantities recommended.
This is to include coverage for undelivered and delivered quantities,
These items are required in support of the readout equipment
and are not available within the current inventory. Also, after
complete review of previous actions, I find these items had been
approved on prior proposals. Therefore, R&W had initiated action
to obtain them and had actually made deliveries of certain quantities
prior to receiving any advice from us that action should be
discontinued on their part.
Dan, evidently the contractor is waiting to hear from you before
he ships us the remainder of the items in question. Therefore, it
would be appreciated if you could expedite contractual coverage as
we will be needing these shortly to build. support packages.
I am sorry for the confusion this matter has caused you and
hope this will clear it up.
