MISSION READOUT: PHUC YEN AIRFIELD 211N1O)-i-8E LOCATED 5.8 NM EAST-SOUTHEAST OF PHUC YEN, THIS AIRFIELD HAS A SERVICE- ABLE 9,1)+0 X 200 FT., WNW/ESE, CONCRETE RUNWAY WITH 1,200 FT. OVERRUNS AT EACH END. THE FACILITIES INCLUDE A PARALLEL TAXIWAY WITH TWO END CONNECTING AND THREE CROSSOVER LINKS, TWO PARKING APRONS 1,600 FT. LONG (ONE AT EACH END OF THE RUNWAY), GCA FACILITIES, ILS SITES, AND MARKER BEACONS. A HOUSING/SUPPORT AREA IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF THE AIRFIELD CONTAINS APPROXIMATELY FIFTY BARRACKS, ONE HUNDRED STORAGE/SUPPORT BUILDINGS, A HANGAR, A CONTROL TOWER, AND AN OPERA- TIONS BUILDING. A SECURED POL STORAGE AREA WITH A LOOP SERVICE ROAD IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 5,000 FT. NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE RUNWAY AND CONTAINS SIX BURIED POL TANKS. AN AIRCRAFT REVETMENT AREA AT THE EAST-SOUTHEAST END OF THE RUNWAY CONTAINS EIGHT REVETMENTS, AND A REVETMENT AREA AT THE WEST-NORTHWEST END OF THE RUNWAY CONTAINS SIX REVETMENTS. HANOI/GIA LAM AIRFIELD 2102N 10553E LOCATED 2.3 NM NORTHEAST OF HANOI, THIS AIRFIELD HAS ONE SERVICEABLE 6,100 X 100 FT., NNE/SSW, CONCRETE RUNWAY, AND ONE 5,800 X 320 FT., NW/SE, CONCRETE RUNWAY BEING USED AS A PARKING AREA. THE FACILITIES INCLUDE PARALLEL TAXIWAYS, ONE HANGAR, NUMEROUS SUPPORT BUILDINGS, A WEATHER STATION, A POL STORAGE AREA ON THE NORTHWEST END OF THE NW/SE RUNWAY, AND SIXTEEN AIRCRAFT REVETMENTS. FOUR NEWLY-CONSTRUCTED HARD- STANDS ARE LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST END OF THE NW/SE RUNWAY. SEVEN CRATE, SEVEN CAB, EIGHT PROBABLE COLT, THREE HELICOPTERS, AND ONE PROBABLE HELICOPTER ARE OBSERVED. HANOI/BAC MAI AIRFIELD 210ON 101550E LOCATED 2.1 NM SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF HANOI, THIS AIRFIELD HAS ONE SERVICEABLE 4,100 X 110 FT., NW/SE, CONCRETE AND ASPHALT RUNWAY. THE FACILITIES INCLUDE ONE LARGE AND THREE MEDIUM HANGARS, ONE LARGE HANGAR APRON, ONE PARKING APRON, A NATURAL SURFACE PARALLEL TAXIWAY WITH THREE CROSSOVER LINKS, AND A LOOP TAXIWAY CONNECTING THE AIRFIELD WITH THE These notes have been prepared for briefing purposes only and should not be used for detailed analytical work. A FORMER AIRCRAFT DISPERSAL AREA JUST WEST OF THE NORTHWEST END OF THE RUNWAY HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A MILITARY-TYPE INSTALLATION. NO AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED. BAI THUONG AIRFIELD 1954N 10528E LOCATED FIVE NM EAST OF BAI THUONG AND TWENTY-FIVE NM WEST-NORTHWEST OF THANH HOA, THIS AIRFIELD CONSISTS OF ONE NW/SE RUNWAY. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON THE RUNWAY AND ON THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY SOUTH OF THE RUNWAY. FIVE EARTHEN AIRCRAFT REVETMENTS ARE LOCATED AT EACH END OF THE RUNWAY. NO AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED. LOCATED FIVE NM SOUTHWEST OF HAIPHONG, THIS AIRFIELD HAS ONE SERVICEABLE 5,900 X 800 FT., NE/SW, CONCRETE RUNWAY. FACILITIES INCLUDE A PARALLEL TAXIWAY WITH TWO END-CONNECTING AND FOUR CROSSOVER LINKS SOUTH OF THE RUNWAY, TWO PARKING APRONS, AND THIRTY PARKING REVETMENTS. CONSTRUCTION IS OBSERVED AT THE NORTHEAST END OF THE RUNWAY, ON THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY, AND ON THE CROSSOVER LINKS. NO AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED. A 2,500 X 150 FT. NNW/SSE CONCRETE RUNWAY IS PROBABLY BEING USED AS A PARKING APRON. FACILITIES INCLUDE A PARALLEL TAXIWAY WITH TWO END-CONNECTING LINKS, POL STORAGE, TWO HANGARS, SEVENTEEN AIRCRAFT REVETMENTS, AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT BUILDINGS. NO AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED. KEP AIRFIELD 2124N =0616E LOCATED ONE NM SOUTHWEST OF IcEP, THIS AIRFIELD HAS A 5,975 X 155 FT., NE/SW, SERVICEABLE RUNWAY. FACILITIES INCLUDE A PARALLEL SOD TAXIWAY, TWO REVETTED HARDSTANDS, AND FOURTEEN AIRCRAFT REVETMENTS. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY AND AT THE REVETTED HARDSTANDS AT EACH END OF THE RUNWAY. FIVE SMALL UNIDENTIFIED AIRCRAFT ARE OBSERVED.
