SIGNIFICANCE: A PROBABLE MISSILE CRATER IS OBSER VED 630 NM DOWNRANGE FROM SHH UANG-CHENG-TZU M ISSI LE TES T CENTER ALONG AN AZ IMUTH OF 300 DEG REES . 2. LOCATION: 630 NNIIv1 NW OF SHUAN G-CHENG-TZU MISS ILE TEST CENTER AT 46o4N - 08723E. 3. REMARKS: A REANALYSIS OF TH E SSM INSTRUMENT ATIO N SITE AT THE SHUANG-CHEN AND THE GEOMETRIC STRONGLY INDICATES G-TZU MISSILE TE PATTERN FORMED B THAT THE PRIMAR ST C Y TH Y FI ENTER, ESE SI RING S TES AZIMUTH IS CLOSER TO 300 DEGREES T HAN THE PRE - VIOUSLY REPORTED 270 DEGREES AZIMUTH. A SEARCH OF THE TERRAIN BENEATH THE NEWLY PROJECTED FIR- ING AZIMUTH REVEALS POSSIBLE IMPACT AREAS AT THE 500 NM AND 550 NM MARKS. THE FIRST CRATER, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 80 FT IN DIAMETER BY 20 FT DEEP WAS OBSERVED 1,500 FT NW OF COMPLEX THE SECOND CRATER, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 80 FT IN DIAMETER WAS OBSERVED 3.5NM WEST OF COMPLEX A IN 4. COLLATERAL: NONE 5. FIRST IDENTIFICATION: THIS MISSION 6. NEGATION DATE: THIS NEWLY IDENTIFIED CRATER CANNOT BE DEF- INITELY NEGATED DUE TO PHOTOGRAPHY OF POOR INTERPRETABILITY IN THIS AREA. IT WAS PROB- 7. SUBSEQUENT COVERAGE: NONE 8. DIMENSIONS/ SPECIFICATIONS: CRATERS: APPROXIMATELY 80 FT IN DIAMETER. MISSION READOUT: A PROBABLE MISSILE CRATER IS OBSERVED 630 NM DOWNRANGE FROM SHUANG-CHENG-TZU MISSILE TEST CENTER ON AN AZIMUTH OF 300 DEGREES. THIS CRATER MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 80 FT IN DIAMETER AND IS SIMILAR TO AND APPROXIMATELY THE SAME SIZE AS THE TWO CRATERS PRE- VIOUSLY IDENTIFIED NEAR COMPLEX A (SCTMTC).
