MEMORANDUM FOR: Members of the EIC Subcommittee on General Economic Analysis
SUBJECT: Discussion Meeting on Current Economic Policy Developments
in the USSR.
REFERENCEI: Memorandum to. Subcommittee Chairman from Chairman, Economic
Intelligence Committee, subject: Request for Extension of
Subcommittee Activities, dated 26 April 1966.
1. The Subcommittee on General Economic Analysis will hold the third
in a series of discussion meetings on Wednesday, 3 May at CIA Headquarters
Building, at 0945, subject: "Current Economic Policy Developmentts in the
USSR." CIA, will be the principal spe4ker. '
2. The first meeting in this series was held on 29 June, 1966 at CIA
Headquarters Building, on "Current Economic Policy Developments in Communist
China"; the second, on 23 November, 1966, also at CIA Headquarters Building,
on "Currant Economic Policy Developments in Yugoslavia".
3. Referenced memorandum states: "EIC members and associate members
will have the right to designate, for participation in any particular meeting
or function of the Subcommittee, any persons affiliated (including contractor
personnel) with their department or agency who have particular expertise on
the subject matter to be discussed or who have a particular need for expert
opinion on the subject." 25X1 A9a
4. Please give me or my secretary, (code 145, ext. 5913)
the names of any persons attending, by c.o.b., Wednesday, 26 April.
Clearance through SECRET is required. Transportation to and from CIA
Headquarters Building may be arran ed for those leaving from the State
