Thank you for your letter of 16 July to the Director,
who is now on an extended trip, and for your efforts in
25X1 bringing to our attention.
After a thorough study of the proposal by
members of our staff it was concluded that it is not
feasible to implement it at this time. I am pleased to 25X1
say, however, that we can use the services of the
in other matters which relate to his special qualifica-
tions and have offered him employment for at least a year
in that capacity. He expressed pleasure with this arrange-
ment and indicated that he will accept our offer. Thus,
I feel that this has worked out to everyone's satisfaction.
