Four hexagonal. emplacements are located on. the siding which. is 2, 500 feet long. A probable canvas -cover, ed heavy railway gun, 65 feet long, and As associated rail- mour.t:ed auxiliary equipment is positioned over each empl.acemerr.t. The four emplacements vary in width from 80 to 100 feet and length from 100 to 140 feet. Footings are located within each. emplacement for support of stabilizer ja.c:k:s. Approximately ten other rail.ca:rs, fu:r~xtion unde.te:r- mi.:ried, are located a.lon.g' the siding just north of the emplacements The site also includes another rail siding 300 feet: east of t:6e, one described above. Numerous rail. cars, some of which are possible railway guns, are parked along this siding. The unoccupied site consists of a double-.track rail. spur 1,700 feet loan.g, with four possible emplacements centered on one of the rail li:s.,ies. T'U.-.s site is located 3, 000 feet xxo:rthwest of the occupied site. Ground scars lead from each site to possible associated electronic facilities located ore. the crest of a hall. lying between the two sites An eight-guars. AA. site and an AA vehicle park are situated in the vici.ni.t of the complex. This complex was studied for missile laurtclh, or storage possibi.h.ties. The weight of evidence from this photography and other col.l.ate:ra.l. infor- mation favors a railway gun coastal defense complex.
