1. PURPOSE: To provide eight additional Mark III Hand Controls for CHALICE
assigned aircraft. This will standardize in-use items and afford an
added capability for rear vision not presently existent in Mark I Hand
Controls.
25X1A 2. Discussion: Theme has requested that B!Lird-Atomic Corporation go into
production for twenty-five hand controls for a firm fixed price of $838.00
each. In order to take advantage of this, it is recommended that Project
CHALICE place a requirement at this time. Present assets consist of five
25X1A items at The procurement of eight additional
Controls would afford two Depot spares, one spare for each overseas detach-

with one complete spare item in the FAK. This procurement action was not
programmed in the FY60 Budget and additional funds will be required in the
amount indicated in paragraph 4 below'

5. Delive Schedule and Period of Performance: Deliveries will commence within
