'61-d woman is reported. Over the years, compression symptoms of a-
neurysm of the abdominal aorta developed. later clinical signs of a
chronic gall-stone disease were evident. Severe hemorrhagic anemia
developed simultaneously with a large, movable resistance on the right
side, in three instances. later, he2iatemesis and melena. exhausted the
organism in spite af massive transfusions. On autopsy, the arransion
of the ,mU of the ga.U-bladder, due to irritation @y two stones, was
@shcm to be the cause of the hemorrhage. In the authors' opinion

the new semisynthetic penicillins -Methicillin, Oxacillin-, in response to
varying doses of the compound, were studied. It was determined that, the
i.m. administration of L g Yethicillin gave therapeutic levels of serum
penicillin concentration in every case. The oral administration of I g
Oxacillin every 4-6 hours also insured a therapeutic serum level concentra-

A cytopathogenic agent was Isolated from.the stools of 6015, of 65 patients with para
lytic poliomyelitis; 85% of the strains were of type 1,the rest of type rr. Of 134 pat-
tents, with aseptic,meningitio, 19% yielded a virus; 54% of these strains were type 1.
