specimens, whose size and production technology have been given earlier
(R. V. Telesnin, A. M. Ovehinnikova. VMU, ser. 111, 1, 1961) were of
almost X-ray density and had very high electrical resistivity. From the
results, which are shown graphically, it can be seen that in Dy, Ho and Er
ferrite-garnets H 01 , Br' Nax and N max behave typically near tk.e

point (which is e.g. for 5Fe 203* 3DY203 at.2100K) the hyaterosis loop is a
straight line, crossing the origin. This degeneracy was observed not only
with the ballistic apparatus but also with an oscilloscope (.500 ops).
Electrical volume resistivity was measured on a MOM-4 (MOM-4) device for

specimens were in a cryostat (constancy of + 20). The cu:cves logQ - f(l/T)

ABSTIRtM An experimental method is described for determining th!-% coefficient
,of diffusion. - The method employs electrophotographic developers to ineasure
simultaneously both the location of the diffusion p-n junction and the width of the
region oil negative space charge. This method was used to determine the coefficient

ABSTRACT. A reliable method for measuring the viscosity of liquids is
the Stokes method, which is based on measuring the falling
speed of solid balls In the tested liquid. T7-,is metbod -may
also be applied in not-t=spomit l1qWds if ferroma, tic balls
and inductive neasiarin,7 in ozed Ref 1, 2, -X; ~7 Such a
device consists of two coils witK',twor windings (Figure 1).
To indicate the passing of the ferromagnetio 'ball through
the upper or lower coil, a vibration galvanometor or an olac-
tronio-optical indicator, e.g. the tube 6YOS, may be used.
The circuit diagram of such a device is eiven in Figure 1;
its block diagram in Figure 2. From the seco:ndary winding
of the transformer the voltage. passes to the demodulator

Curie point was determined by a simple method: two coils were
wound on the ferrite toroid, one supplied from the secondary
of a transformer, the other connected to an oscilloscope used
as a sensitive detector. The sample temperature was raised

The behaviour can be understood on the basis of Ngel4a theory.
Ferrites with m/n values of 3/2 and 2 had the best nagnetic
properties at room temperature. As with copper-nickel ferrites
the permeability close to the Curie point increased then dropped
sharply. A simple thermal relay using ttiese ferrites is des-
cribed in which, by choice of suitable ferrites and mechanical
parameters, the temperature of switching can be controlled.
The apparatus is reliable and simple and the operating
temperature of the relay is accurate within a few, degrees.

Abstract : Tuberculosis in poultry is a chronic infectious disease involvinC
liver,, spleen, and intestines. A large number of fowl 4-5 months of
---age--have-been found-to be infected--with tuterculoals Control-meas-
ures used on poultry raising farms should te the s;; as those used
on cattle raising farms. Single Injection of tuberculin does not
guarantee detection of tuberculosis in fewl. For more w,.curata test
a 2nd injection, 40-48 hourv after the firat, is necessa,*y.
