PERIODICAL: Khimioheakaya promyshlennosti, 1960, No- 5? PP- 18 - 22
TEXT: As the process of purificationand extraotion of gases by means
of absorption at low temperatures is becoming more and more important
for industry, a study is made here of the gas solubility in different
solvents. The solubility of carbon dioxide in methyl ethyl ketone 6
ethyl asetate, and toluene has been examined at -25,~ -35, and -.45 C,
and pressures up to 16 atm. The solutions we,719 found to be almost idqal.
It is found from the analysis of the experimental xesults that tho
equation of I. P. Krichevskiy (Ref-5) for dilute solutions of nonelec-
trolytea is valid for-the systems studied only if thq concentration of
CO2 is not more than 10-15 W.016%. The equation is:

TEXT: The experimental data that were obtained by examining the
solubility of H 29 N29 CH4in CH 30H at a pressure of up to 80 atm, and at
t - 0-600C can be well described by equations for dilute solutions of
nonelectrolytes. The solubility of H2 in the considered temperature range
decreases with a drop of t. The sign of the temperature coefficient of N2
solubility changes at t&-1000. The heat of solution of H 2 N2 and CH4
in CH 30H was calculated on the basis of experimental data.
