had developed after or before pulmonary distomiasts. Distom.um- pleurisy has,no
great effect upon the general condition of the patient nor upon the course of the
pulmonary distomiasts. The pleurisy Is associated with little pain, normal tern-
'perature and normal ESR. It has a tendency to loculalion and to a prolong.ed courae
lasting sometimes for years. The pleural el~fusiion is fluid. turbid and utmally
greyish-yellow. and almost always contains many cholesterin and fat droplets; in
ome cases the exudate may be purulent or haamorrhagic. Detection of distotnum
ggs in the exudate clinches the diagnosis. Treatment of didtamum-pleurisias
:
should be aettological, The Intraplaural use of anti-distontum drugs requires
