The'circuit is made up of identical logic elements which are used for identical logic functions. O-nly one of these elements is connected for each code sequence. The elements belong to the individual sequences of the code in such a way that the code output is connected to the first input of the logic element. Each element belongs to the next higher code sequence except for the elements belonging to tbe highest sequence. The second inputs of the logic element are connected to the outputs of the corresponding code sequences for the first number. The third inputs of the logic elements are corraected to the individual outputs of the code sequences for ithe second number. (2) In different cases the measure of the maximum temporal pressure and.,Itherefore of the ratio may give unrealiable results, oyring to the variations in the consistency and calibre of the temporal artery and its branches. (3) Changes in the ratio between temporiLl pressure and brachial pressure do not correspond with changes in the C.N.S. and fundus retini. (4) Fluctuations in the ratio in any given cases of hypertensive disease are obviously dependent on changes in tonus of the temporal artery and its branches. (5) The parallelism between the systolic pressure in the temporal artery and the central retinal artery is far from exact. (6) Measurement of pressure in the temporal'artery in not a useful method of gauging that in the arteries of the brain, and is therefore useless for demonstrating regional cerebral hyper - or bypotension. Preliminary experiments were carried out on a high-preSSWe dropping apparatus (dropwise feedoqf raw benzole into the reactor (Figure 1). At 340 C and 40 atm, the-sulphide catalyst was found to be too active as hyd-rogenation of benzene hydrocarbons was taking 1~lace. Oxide catalyst was found to be more suitable as a product containing only 0.005% of thiolbane could be obtained at 390 0 and contact time of 12 see at 40 atm and.16 seconds at 60 atm. The sulphur balance of the process is shown in Table 1. Further experiments were ca:?ried out in a continuous small-scale plant (Figure 3).
