TITLE: Circuit Feeding into AmplIfier-Points (Ustroystvo vvodov tsepey
v usilitellnyye punkty)
PERIODICALt Vestnik Svyazi, 1957, No 9, p 29 (USSR)
ABSTRACT: The line men of the Pyatigorsk "LTU" servicing one of the main
telephone-telegraph trunk-lines, have installed feeder cables
at the amplifier points of the 12-channel system for condens-
ing one of the copper circuits by the "B-12"type equipment in
the frequency-band of 143 kilocycles. The "MHCB" cable being
not available, the circuit-feeding into autotransformers has
been carried out by means of ,cpr,, wire. The installing was
described briefly in this article. The buffer spark-dischargers
for the protection of circuits have been put on sockets and into
the casings of locking coils, the "P-350" dischargers being
placed in the casings of drain-coila. The line-junctions
near the amplifier-points, having the "BW-12" equipment,
constituted another problem, which had to be solved by the
Main Administration of the interurban Telegraph-Telephone

the suite is determined with 3o0 m. The 'lower part of the suite can
be classified with Cognaciae and Santoniae. In connection with the
stratigraphically close vicinity of Kosmaticeras and Brab-maites, a
correction of the evolution scheme of the famlly- KossmatIceridae
(according to Matsumoto) shall be necessary. The layers with Kossmas
ticeras are apparently younger and those containing Brahmaites are
apparently older than this author assumes. The fauna of the sedia
ments of the Pontoneic mountains is curious in spite of its correlaw
tion with the neighboured mountains (except Trigonien, some Inocem
ramen and Parallelodon). The Tikhlyavayam suite is supposed to belong
to the orochen series of Sakhalin synchron. 2 conglomerate masses
were found in the sediments of the East shore of the bay of Penzhinsw
kaya Guba. The considerable thickness of the basaltic conglomerates
of the suite concerned and the existence of large rolling stones and
blocks points out that the Pontoneic mountains in the Senon Age have
formed a part of the archipelagos to which the sea pushed forward.
Thus the Upper Cretaceous transGression began in the Senoman, in-
creased gradually and attained its vatest expansion in the Senon. It

Periodical Radiotekhnika, 10, 72-77, Mar 1955
Abstract A method of boosting the power of telephone-wave sideband3, and simultane-
ously narrowing considerably the effective wave spectrum, is described in
this article under the name of quadrature an;Dlitude-phase modulation method
(KAFM). This method might be treated as a special case of "optimum modula-
tion". Two variants of this method to accomplish the quadrature amplitude-
phase modulation are described; in both cases the simultaneous amplitude and
phase modulation is accomplished by means of a 900 phase shift between the
sidebands. This method shows high power efficiency and freedom from inter-
ferences. Two USSR references. Graphs.

Abstract The Iris Khempferi in distributed in the Far East on
meadows and meadowland slo-jes on rich mold soils. The
seeds set very well when artificially pollinated. It
is helpl^ul to cross it with other wild species and
Eprdcn varieties. It is promising for the cultivation
of winter hardy varieties in lieu of the domestic
JaDancse hybrids which arc not winter reoistant.
Peculiarities in the biology of florescence are reported.
