AUTHOR:
TITLE., Determination of the Nominal Angle of Rotation for the
Cranks of Mechanical Presses
PERIODICAL: Standart izatsiya, 1960, No. 12, pp. 17 - 20
TEXT: The author proposes the inclusion of a now index into the
existing
standards for crank presses in order to increase the
performance and
improve the design of these machines. This index is the nominal
angle of
crank rotation, that is, the angle of rotation of the crankshaft
at which
the nominal load can be applied. The performance and the moment
of inertia
of the flywheel, as well as the mass and weight of the driving
components
depend on the nominal angle of the crank. So fax, the angle of
rotation
was only mentioned in rOCT 7039-%GOST 7039-55) for
double-acting single-
crank presses. Single-frame crank presses with a pressure of
6.3-160 t and
adjustable slide movement according to roCT 9408-60 (GOST
9408-60) are
intended for cold pressing and best suited for punching an,!
piercing, The

Presses
nominal angle of rotation for these presses is 30 0 without
gear drive
and 45o with gear driveg the technological possibilities
being thus
considerably widened. The following nominal angles of
rotation are propos-
ed for single-acting single- and double-crank presses: 1)
For a'Al punching
processes 30 0 and for burring presses 30 0 -250; 2) For
combined punching
and deep drawing 400- 450 . The gear drive proves to be a
limiting element
for single-crank presses with standard slide movement and
one-sided drive
at an angle of crank rotation of 300, If the durability of
this gear drive
is increased by about 20%, the angle of rotation of 300 can
be assumed to
be an optimum. A nominal angle of rotation of 150- 200 is
recommended for
four:-crank presses. Double-acting, closed single-crank
presses are mainly
used for the punching of material of 4 mm thickness. An
angle of rotation
of 200 is recommended for these machines for double-sided
drive, and one
of 100 for one-sided drives. For louble-acting, closed
double-crank presse4
the angle of rotation is 200, and for double-acting
single-crank presses
of the cam type, the angle of rotation fcr the inner sli-Oa
is 100. For
single-acting eccentric presses with gear drive, Vie firm of

(Eastern Germany) applies an angle of rotation of 300, as for
an ordinary
drive, but practice showed that the following angles of
rotation are to
be recommended for these presses:
, Table 2

For drop--forging presses, the nominal angle of rotation is
30 ata
pressure below 4000 t and 50 above 4000 t. The angle of
rotation is 600
for toggle-,lever presses with normal slide movement and 500
for those
with increased slide movement. The 'nclusion of the nominal
angle of
rotation as a new index into the valid standards for presses
and, sub-
sequently, of the "Energy Reserve of the Flywheel" will
improve the quality
of the machines, reduce their weight, and standardize the
drives extensiw-

Abstract [Authors' English su:wmary, modifiod]: In 3 out
of 13 cases of patients
treated for polyp of the stomach the initi-Al symptoms of
mallignancy were observed
in the polyp. In authors' cases, as well cLs in the
development of stomach
cancer, polypoid hypertrophy and metaplastic
transformation of the chronic
gastritic mucous membrane had a decisive role in the
development of the palyp.
Because of the precancerous character of the alteration
and of the relapses,
the most important task is to follow up the patient's
progress, since any
histological problems which have not been settled are
resolved by clinical obser-

Abstract :Measurements vere made of the electric
conductivity and of
the thermal emf or alloys Cr-Sb with a Sb content
from 80 to
85%, and aiso the temperature dependence of these
values for
the compound CrSb (84 Sb). The specimens were annealed
for 15 days at a Lmperature of 5500 to obtain an
equilibri-
um composition. The alloy with 64 Sb has a
single-phase
structure and had minimum electric resistivity and a
maxi-
mum therm&l emf. CrSb2 is a chemical compound of the
semi-
conductor type with activation energy or 0.16 and

ABSTRACTs In'the inveiistl~ation. ofthe phase diagram of the
system Bi-Te
~three in.termediate phaseswere determined beside the com-
pound Bi To .
1) The- W-;Aase with the composition Bi TeE which corres-
ponds to the mineral chedleite. This phalie orms after the
peritectic reaction at 3120CO
2) The A-phase of the compoumd B12Te 0 This0 phase forms
according to the peritectic reaction at 420 C-
3.) Solid solutions with 35 - 42,5 % tellurium. This phase
also forms according to the peritectic reaction at 450 0C.
In alloys with'50 0 tellurium an outectic, enriched with

An investigation of the Phase Diagram of the System Bi-,Te
Bi2Te -is about 1 0. The solubility of Bi was not
determined.
The thriographic ahiLlynes were confirmed by the investiga-
tions of the microstructure. In the phase diagram of the
system Bi-Te three peritectig horizontals occur, at 312 0C
with
the compound Bi I Te at 420 S with the compound B'2 Te and
solid solutions if at 540 C - domain of the solid solu-
tion with 34 - 4295 % Te. Determinations of the electric
conductivity and thermoelectric force for Bi I Te6 and B'2
Te
were also performed. The compound Bi Te is fiaracterized
by minimum values of electric conduclfvNy and a maximum
electrothermal force. The compound Bi 2Te has similar
values.

TEXT: The system Bi-Se- was examined in the range of from 0 to

the-methods of microstruotural analysisy thermal analysis, and
measurement
of electrical conductivity, as well as of thermo-electromotiie
force, Ther-
mal analysis was made with a Kurnakov pyrometer by recording
the heating
curves. The electrical cj~dtxctivity and thermo-electromotive
force were
measured with a nnTD_1KPPTV-1) potentiometer. The
microstruotural
analyses led to the finding of a new compound with the
approximate compo-
sition Bi 2Se, which is formed as a result of a periteotic
reaction at
4630 C. A range of solid solutions forms on the basis of the
compound
BiSs at concentrations of from 21 to 32-A Se. A peritectic
reaction at
607 C corresponds to this range, The phase diagram (Fig. 5) of

ABSTRACT: The samples were prepared by nelting, in evacuated
quartz ampoules, the
compounds B2Te3 and BiZSe in a ratio of 2.1, with subsequent
quenching in ice water.
The alloys were then annealed in an argon atmosphere for'a
period of I month, and were
again quenched in ice water. During this annealing the samples
were brought into an
equilibrium state and measurements were made of their heat
conductivity, their electri
resistance, and their thermo-emf. After this. -the samples were
subjected to low
temperature annealing at 300, 2-00, anO 1000C. After 1-2 hours,
the samples were
quenched -in icis water, and their properties were again
measured. It was established
that there is a decrease in the heat conductivity of the orystal

The all-wave neutron detector comprised a long counter and an

in Fig. I of the Enclosure. The measured samples were made in the form

accuracy.
The errors are analyzed and the date, -reduction method In discussed
