Abstract For the purpose of establishing the boundaries of the region
of homogeneity of the internediate/Y phase in the system Bi-
Pb., use was made of the method whereby the quantity r - RN/Ro
is determined (RN is the electric resistivity at the boilInG
termperature N2. and RO is the same for the temperature ofOOC).
This quantity was determined for alloys with 30 to 100 atomic
.percerit lead., soaked for 1500 hours at teuperatures of 110,
.80 and 500 C and also for alloys soaked for 80 hours at a

Abstract: The solubility of Cd in T13 at a eutectic tempera-
twe., equal to 4.5 atom percent, T1 cannot be dis-
solved in Cde A temperature hysteresis has been
observed in the polymorphous conversion* The trans-
formation temperature of 1650 C has been determined
from the heating curves (152-50 C from the cooling
curves) at room temperature, only an -modification
of Tl has been discovered for Cd-Tl alloys. The
results of the Thermal analysis are confirmed by
X-ray diffraction studies,
