They now extend this approach to a larger range of nickel alloys, studying the heating of parts of complex shapes and examining a wide range of problems connected with the heat-treatment theory of deformed alloys, As current sources rotary generators of 2500 and 8000 cps and a tube oscillator of 5Q/0 kc/sec were used., 41joys studied were types NN-61? (Russian) The general problem considered in this- paper may be. formulated as follows: On a given surface LS one selects a one-parameter family of lines and subjects the tangent strip along each line to a transformation depending on the same parameter. If the transformed strips generate a new surface S*,.one say~_ that S' is generated bv the lines of S. The present paper considers the nature of the Ii nes that may be chosen on S if the transformation is, first, projective, in which case the lines must be plane sections of S, second, equiaffine, in which case the class of lines is subject to only one condition. Families of planes or cylindrical lines belong to this class. Finally, if the transformation is a paralle displacement, the generating linvi mEist be cylindri4.J. Al. S. At first the construction is given for congruences related to a conjugate net of ruled surfaces and then it is transferred to ruled surfaces themselves. The results are used for the consider- ation of more complicated figures associated with these systems ' of axes. A great part of the results was already announced without a proof [Ref 9] .
